FYR Macedonia passed DNA database legislation, covering convicted offenders and arrested persons, in August 2009.
The 2008 Interpol survey reports that 1,500 crime scene DNA profiles and 510 individuals' profiles were held in FYR Macedonia at the time of the survey.
